Pirate animations

The children have spent a couple of lessons making some amazing animations about pirates. They used their improved sentences as a starting point and now they look fantastic.

Singing in the courtyard

We had some super singing in the courtyard. The children performed the actions really well, including going 'down the alley'.

Our Topic Assembly

Today we shared our learning with the rest of the school and with parents and carers. We used loud voices. The children wrote the script yesterday and we only had one chance to practice before we performed.
Thank you to all the parents and carers who came to share our learning.

Homework

It's nice to come back from the holiday and be handed a project folder from a child who wants to continue learning in the holidays.
Well done K for this bit of homework on our topics of Bristol and Pirates. Keep up the good learning!

More map making

The children did a fantastic Big Write giving directions to their hidden treasure today. They also used their map making skills to make a map of the courtyard. I wonder if there is treasure buried there?

Map making

This afternoon the children created their own treasure maps. Then they scrunched, ripped and stained them to give them a look of being old. The look fantastic!

Finding our loot

The class quickly worked out that the map was a map of the school. We also found some directions for how to get to the treasure. Sneaking carefully, we managed to follow the directions and find our lost chests. That will teach those nasty pirates!
